If you finish early, you are encouraged to code beyond your skills\u00a0and try something new. If you have never implemented javascript, try it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"p1\">topic suggestions:<\/h2>\n<p class=\"p2\"><strong>1. about uw madison<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Pick a topic related to\u00a0UW-Madison and inform the user about this topic. For example, historic buildings, cafeteria food items, door knobs, professors&#8230; anything. It can be serious or funny. Select at least 5 items of your topic to feature.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>images: take at least 5-10 photos of each item so you have options to choose from. After choosing final photos, find a way to give them unity in some way.<\/li>\n<li>text:<br \/>\na: create a title<br \/>\nb: create a tagline that describes your site in 3-7 words.<br \/>\nc: write an intro paragraph with a minimum of 3\u00a0sentences to entice the user.<br \/>\nd: write a minimum of 3\u00a0sentences about each item.<\/li>\n<li>Create a single page website that scrolls horizontally or vertically with links that jump from item to item, as shown in my example:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/art556.com\/melanie\/unit_3\/\">walking uw.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>You may use my site code as a guide, but you must change columns, margins, nav, footer and overall design to be your own.<\/li>\n<li>When complete, save another version and convert to mobile,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/art556.com\/melanie\/unit_3\/index_mobile.html\">like this.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p2\"><strong>2. make a statement<br \/>\n<\/strong>Make a statement and provide 5-7 reasons why this is true. Ask the audience if they agree. It doesn\u2019t have to something you believe. In fact, you may get a better response if you make an outrageous statement.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create a statement about the topic. Example : chocolate is the best flavor of ice cream because&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>Collect 5-10 facts and 500 words supporting your argument. For example:<br \/>\nChocolate is the #1 seller in the us.<br \/>\nit tastes better than vanilla .<br \/>\nit\u2019s more readily available.<br \/>\netc&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>Create a form for feedback and chart results.\u00a0 For example:<br \/>\nWhat is your favorite flavor?<br \/>\nWhat is your age?<br \/>\nWhat is your gender?<\/li>\n<li>Imagery :\u00a0Create images yourself by drawing them traditionally or digitally or shooting photography.<\/li>\n<li>Chart results in the form of data visualizations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p2\"><strong>3. from print to web<br \/>\n<\/strong>Select a print project that you wrote and designed in a previous class. Create a website which carries the same visual identity.
