Create Content for Unit 2
Start a site plan for unit 2. Format similar to pages 1-2 of this pdf.
Topic/Site Title
Select a topic that lends itself to producing a list of “top five”. For example: top five donuts, top five bicycles, top five music venues. The topic should interest you. It can be fact or fiction. Create a title for your website based on the topic.
Name +2
Start with the name(s) and two of the most important characteristics
Description
You will also need a paragraph of general information: 300- 500 characters for each of the five.
List of Characteristics
In addition to the two characteristics, collect five more comparable characteristics from each of the five items.
Imagery
Supply one image for each of the top five. You are encouraged to create these images yourself by drawing them traditionally or digitally or shooting photography. If this is impossible, you can use images found on the internet if they are high quality. However, the images must enhance your web design. They need to share a similar size format, color scheme and medium.
Provide an additional image for #1. (The best of the top 5)
#1
Write a 150-200 word paragraph describing this topic and another 50 words on why you think this particular item is #1.
The final website will have a comparison chart listing the five items with their seven characteristics. It’s not necessary to build the chart at this time.
In the same document, answer the following questions about your content:
what is the purpose of the site?
content strategy
- What content is available?
- What content will be created and by whom?
- Who will create new content?
- How often will content change?
- What types of content will you include?
