Continuing with the theme of your character, design eyes, nose, mouth, ears and eyebrows with the following in mind:

• the shape  your character is based on
• your visual metaphors

rough sketch

• Start by drawing your character’s head shape 5-6 times on one page
• draw a vertical and horizontal line across each face to use as guidelines
• quickly sketch different combinations.
• choose the one that best describes your character’s expression
• on a full sheet, refine until you are happy

illustrator :

• scan your face,  and use as template to recreate in illustrator
• combine with your character’s body
